The housing issue remains highly relevant in the present day. There are several ways to solve it: buying real estate, applying for a mortgage, obtaining office accommodation, renting from a local authority, or participating in public housing programmes.
This article will explain how to register for government support measures to improve housing conditions.
Government support measures aimed at improving housing conditions include:
1) provision of housing from the communal housing stock, or housing rented by a local authority from the private housing stock;
2) subsidizing a part of the rent for an accommodation rented in a private housing stock;
3) provision of concessional mortgage housing loans through the housing construction savings system;
4) provision of housing certificates.
Local executive bodies are responsible for providing housing from the communal or private housing stock.
Otbasy Bank JSC subsidizes part of the rent for housing from a private housing fund and provides concessionary mortgage loans for housing through the housing construction savings system.
The general scheme for obtaining state support measures aimed at improving housing conditions is as follows:
Applications for registration as a person in need of housing should be submitted via the website orken.otbasybank.kz;
Information about the applicant will be obtained from government services once consent has been obtained for the collection and processing of personal data. However, in some cases, documentary confirmation will be required;
Applications will be considered within one working day. For applications from citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, kandas, whose only accommodation has been recognized as an emergency in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the period is three working days;
Housing will be distributed according to the date of registration and citizens' income levels.
