Information disputing is the service enabling to correct inaccurate information in a credit report. If you have received your personal credit report and find that there is an error in it, you can make a request online, detailing the error.
You must state the number of the contract you are disputing, the name of the creditor, the information you think is wrong and the correct value. You may attach to the application any supporting documents that help to prove the accuracy of the disputed information. However, you do not need to attach the credit report itself.
The First Credit Bureau will send your request to the creditors. The timing of the response depends directly on the information providers, and it may be that your creditors need more time to sort things out. Based on the response received from the information provider (second-tier banks, MFO, etc.), you will get a relevant service delivery result.
When do I need to use the service?
• If the report contains inaccurate personal information or any other information that you believe to be incorrect.
NOTE!
You can only dispute the information if you have received a personal credit report through the eGov.kz portal and it has been less than 15 working days since you received it.
Information providers are required to send updates to the credit bureau within 15 working days and debt collection agencies within 30 calendar days. At the same time, when you apply for a new loan, the information is sent to the credit bureau within 1 working day. If you need to update the information before the deadline, contact the creditor directly.
Result of the service delivery
The service delivery result is an adjustment to the information and a corrected credit report or a letter confirming the accuracy of the information.
